Scott has been in the Portable Disc Jockey business since 1987. He first learned the ropes as a equipment handler for St. Louis based Mr. DJ. As the premiere Disc Jockey company in the St. Louis metropolitan area, Mr. DJ provided entertainment to as many a 20 parties per night. In time, Scott advanced within the company from equipment handler to equipment manager and then went on to become a DJ for Mr. DJ. Scott took over as the DJ for the " Neutral Zone, teen dance " and built the weekly attendance from a meager 50 kids to over 500 per night. From the " Neutral Zone", Scott branched out to perform at Weddings, Corporate functions and any other type of event available. Unfortunately, poor personal financial management forced the ownership, to close the business in 1990.
This was not the end for Scott, he was so into being a DJ that he transferred high schools in the middle of his Junior year to Ritenour High to be able to be part of the school's radio station staff. Ritenour High School's KRSH 90.1 FM, was one of about ten high school student managed radio stations in the country with an on-air broadcast at that time. Scott took to radio like a duck taking to water. He was soon teaching and mentoring other students. After graduation, Scott went on to host radio programs on college radio stations, KCFV 89.5 FM at St. Louis Community College and then KCLC 89.1 FM at Lindenwood University.
Without the satisfaction of the interaction of the crowd, Scott began leaning away from radio and began focusing more intently on his portable Disc Jockey business, Digital Disc Jockey. Scott continued to grow Digital Disc Jockey along with partner and long-time friend Matt Maroney until the spring of 2000 when Scott and wife Cheli moved to Little Rock, Arkansas.
Upon settling in Little Rock, Scott incorporated as All Occasions DJs and has been working to make the company what it is today.
